Today’s performance was satisfactory; therefore, the bald professor didn’t deduct marks for Shen Yi. The professor had already deducted a lot of points when she skipped class before, and this time, he was soft-hearted because Shen Yi finished her task seriously. 

Students with strong academic records from all around the country were accepted into the Jincheng Film and Television Academy. The Jincheng Film and Television Academy produced a large number of well-known actors and actresses. Since the institution was trying its best to maintain its standards, students needed to take their studies seriously.

During the class, a lot of students were surprised by Shen Yi. 

This girl, who said she was from the He family, finally did something ordinary and did it really well. Even the iron-faced professor praised her.

Shen Yi really wanted to be friends with Ming Yue, so she sat next to her again in the second class. Liao Ya and Chen Tiantian stared at her with a frown and rolled their eyes at her. 

After time passed, it was already time to go to the cafeteria, so Shen Yi walked behind her three roommates.

They needed to pass the library to get to the cafeteria., and when they passed the library, a beautiful girl in a light purple skirt came out of the library. She had very pale skin, her lips were red, and she had two little dimples on her face.

Seeing the beautiful girl, who was smiling like a blooming flower, the three roommates mockingly looked at Shen Yi.

Ming Yue looked like she was enjoying a show and asked, “Is she not the He family’s young miss? Why don’t you greet your sister? Do you have a problem with your sister?”

Shen Yi looked annoyed and said, “Why would I have a problem with my sister?” Then, as she was about to go and talk to Shi Rou, a black SUV drove up and stopped in front of her. 

It was He Lin who was in the driving seat, and he began to talk to Shi Rou with one hand on the steering wheel.

Shi Rou hugged the things in her arms tightly and nodded. “Okay, brother, drive slowly.”

The car turned and went away.

Shi Rou stood and watched for a moment, feeling a little sad, then turned and walked back. Seeing this, Shen Yi grabbed Ming Yue’s hand fast. 

Ming Yue wanted to get rid of her, but then she remembered the sad look on Shen Yi’s face, so she just let Shen Yi hold her hand.

Shi Rou was a bit surprised. ‘Why is Shen Yi very polite?’ But she quickly stopped thinking. “Go back and call your mother so she won’t be worried.”

Shen Yi said, “Okay,” and then ran halfway before calling out to Ming Yue. “Ming Yue, please get me some food.”

Ming Yue asked, “Who can help you? That’s embarrassing” After saying that, she dragged Liao Ya and Tiantian away angrily.

Shen Yi was worried about her mother, so she quickly ran back to the dormitory. After searching for a long time, she found her mobile phone in the drawer. When she picked it up, she found that she had turned it off. She sat on a chair and calmed her heartbeat slightly before dialling her mother’s number.

When she heard the rigging tone, Shen Yi became even more nervous. She raised her hands to block her eyes.

In her previous life, her mother, Xia Zhen, was concerned about herself. After Shen Yi was in trouble in her past life, Xia Zhen often spoke up for her to her family bosses, and it made Xiz Zhen’s and her boss‘s marriage crack. 

Afterwards, Xia Zhen got more and more worried and got sick when she saw her daughter suffering outside with no one to help. Then she died shortly after.

A woman’s soft voice asked, “Is this Yiyi?”

Shen Yi’s eyes were red, and her nose hurt. She said quietly, “Mom, it’s me. Are you okay?”

After hearing her daughter’s voice, Xia Zhen felt better. “It’s okay, no problem.” And then she couldn’t stop coughing.

Shen Yi realised her mother was telling a lie; she rubbed her eyes and told her mother, “I will come home to see you this weekend, Mom.”

Xia Zhen heard this and felt unsure. She said, “But your Uncle He is coming back this weekend; maybe I should visit you instead.”

“No, Mom, I will visit you.” Thinking of the cold-faced Mr. He, Shen Yi felt scared. But now she had gained a new life, so she thought to face others differently.

In the end, she still had a room in the He family, so it would not be very awkward to visit Xia Zhen.

Xia Zhen felt a bit happy and a bit worried. “When you come back, behave a little better.”

“Okay, Mom, I know.” Shen Yi knew that Xia Zhen was worried that she would do something to make Mr. He and He Lin angry.

The fans at the other end of the live broadcast watched the good show; they gave her gifts and asked her to pretend to cry for everyone to show her sadness, and so on.

Shen Yi, who became furious, said bad words on the livestream, and some viewers reported her to Jinjiang Media Company. The boss called Shen Yi and told her to say sorry to the fans, or else they would keep complaining about her.

Although this live broadcast was not particularly popular, many people still paid attention to it. Shen Yi turned off her phone last night. Her eyes were still swollen when she woke up in the morning. She probably cried last night.

Looking at this number, Shen Yi sighed. Now, thinking back to what she did as a teenager, besides being naive, she felt sorry for herself.
