Becoming the Boss's Beloved - Chapter 3.1
Chapter 3.1
Although the situation was tough, Shen Yi had to talk to the Jinjiang live broadcast director.
When He Xu, the director, answered the phone, Shen Yi pretended to cry.
Hearing that, He Xu wanted to curse but couldn’t.
Last night, she was crying a lot, and she was still crying like that today. He Xu sighed and said, “Please stop crying; I didn’t mean to yell at you.”
Shen Yi cried once more, pretending to act sad. “I didn’t do that last night deliberately; I was just too confused.”
The girl on the other end was crying a lot, and she accidentally bit her tongue, making it hard for her to speak.
He Xu couldn’t stop himself from comforting her. “Okay, I understand, but it’s not a big deal. Do you want to be popular? If you let people see your vulnerable side, you will become more popular over time. Also, sometimes people really want to see Shi Rou, so just be happy. I don’t think your sister really doesn’t care about you.”
In simple words, this person still wanted to use Shi Rou’s popularity for their benefit. Shen Yi could understand that clearly.
“Yeah, yeah, next time I will try to join Sister Shi Rou for live streaming. But if she rejects that, don’t blame me. Sister Shi Rou doesn’t like live broadcasts. She is already walking on the red carpet full of celebrity stars.”
He Xu noticed that the girl’s voice was very polite and well-mannered; he smiled more kindly and said, “Okay… Your account will not be stopped. When you feel well, return to the live show. Be a good person, and don’t repeat what you did last night. You will be very successful in the future.”
“Okay,” Shen Yi said with a nod.
He Xu had a lot to say but didn’t get the chance, and he hung up the phone with a smile.
After that, Shen Yi recalled what happened to her past life and felt sorry for her. She just wanted to be a successful actress, nothing else.
In her past life, she didn’t have what she really wanted in the life, so she wanted to work hard to achieve her dream in this life: to be a successful actress. ‘I’ll be a successful actress in this life. Shen Yi, let’s change your attitudes and work hard for success.’
At that time, Ming Yue and others returned.
Shen Yi quickly looked at them.
Liao Ya crossed her arms, rolled her eyes, and walked away from Shen Yi.
Ming Yue walked towards Shen Yi, holding a lunch box.
Shen Yi smiled, grabbed the lunch box from Ming Yue, and exclaimed, “I really love you, Ming Yue!”
Ming Yue looked annoyed. She then pushed Shen Yi away, and she went to the bathroom.
Shen Yi didn’t feel any sadness because of Ming Yue’s attitude; she sat down on the chair and began to eat.
While she was eating, she could hear voices coming from the bathroom, including Liao Ya’s annoyed voice and Ming Yue’s low, soothing voice. Shen Yi pretended not to hear anything and continued to eat her food.
Shen Yi’s roommate, Chen Tian, had a habit of taking a nap after eating lunch, so she climbed into her bed and fell into a light sleep.
After finishing her meal, Shen Yi got up, cleared the table, and went to throw away all the garbage in the dormitory.
When she came back, Liao Ya and Ming Yue seemed to be sitting together and looking at their mobile phones.
Shen Yi smiled at them and then climbed up to take a nap.
Before taking nap, Shen Yi set the alarm clock because there were classes in the afternoon and the evening.
Time passed, the alarm rang, and Shen Yi woke up.
There was no one in the dormitory.
‘Hm, they have gone to the class without me.’
Shen Yi clicked her tongue and got down from the upper bunk. She knew Liao Ya didn’t like her. In her past life, Liao Ya caused her a lot of trouble, and she prevented Ming Yue and Chen Tian from getting close to Shen Yi.
Among the four people in this dormitory, Shen Yi was a celebrity in her previous life, and Chen Tian had been playing the fourth female lead. Ming Yue became famous after acting in a movie, and then she retreated behind the scenes and became a capable manager.
As for Liao Ya, it was said that she married a second-generation rich man or something, and she didn’t appear on the screen.
Shen Yi washed up and went to class in a hurry.
This was an open class that taught philosophy. Normally, Shen Yi would not come to this kind of class. Due to the readjustment of open classes in the school, the demand for open classes exceeded the supply; therefore, the lecture hall was full.
Shen Yi saw at a glance that the three people from her dormitory were sitting in the best seats in the fourth row. It seemed they didn’t have any seats vacant for her.
Shen Yi was a little sad and glanced at Ming Yue pitifully.
Ming Yue was talking to Chen Tian, and when she was Shen Yi, she seemed a bit embarrassed.
Shen Yi smiled with Ming Yue because she knew she might be her boss in the future, and she wanted to do her best to make Ming Yue happy.
Seeing She Yi smiling, Ming Yue felt even more uneasy. She checked the seats in front and behind her and saw that they were all taken. Afterwards, she couldn’t do anything.
Shen Yi looked for a seat but couldn’t find one because there were too many people in the hall. After searching for a long time, she found a secret spot in the eighth row next to the pillar. She ran over to it, squeezing all the way, and threw her bag in the vacant spot. Unfortunately, her bag hit the person who was sitting next to her.
The one who got hit with Shen Yi’s bag looked at her, and seeing it was Shen Yi, the boy’s face turned red.
It was Qin Sheng.
When Shen Yi saw Qin Sheng, she smiled, pointed to the place, and said, “Save it for me.”
Qin Sheng was shocked, then put his hand on the chair and watched as Shen Yi passed the first seven lines and came to the eighth.
Remembering how Shen Yi sat on his lap, reading poetry in the morning, the boy’s face turned bright red.
Shen Yi managed to sit down. “Thanks,” she said.
Qin Sheng nodded his head.
The lecture hall was getting crowded with more people. Shen Yi searched through her bag for a while and eventually found a new philosophy book that she had not yet read.
When Qin Sheng looked at Shen Yi, she laughed. “I didn’t enjoy studying much before.”
Qin Sheng said, “…”
Shen Yi made sure to catch up on the lessons she missed.
Qin Sheng twisted his pen and sometimes glanced at his phone because someone sent him a message on WeChat.
The class ended fast.
When the teacher went away, the quiet class got louder, and the students started to move away.
