Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor - Chapter 47 - The Attribute Panel
udging by what he saw, Lin Feng was quite satisfied with his attributes.
After scanning through the attribute panel, Lin Feng nodded in approval.
Those two rings indeed increased his Luck Attribute.
The luck of an average person is 0, but Lin Feng’s luck was 2. Although he wasn’t sure about the gap between these two, Lin Feng was quite content already.
At this moment, the elevator was still 500 kilograms of iron, 30 gold coins, 50 kilograms of gold, and 100 kilograms of Copper and Aluminum away from leveling up to the ninth floor.
The upgrade materials weren’t hard to come by, and Lin Feng could also obtain some of them through trading.
As before, Lin Feng exchanged food and medicines for the upgrade materials. However, he didn’t trade too much this time. After all, scarcity is the mother of value. He had just traded not long ago, and if he used medicines to make a large-scale trade again, there might be depreciation.
Therefore, it was necessary to control the number of trades.
“Ding! The host is about to enter the Wasteland World Floor, where there is a mutant named Tyrant. Please kill it, host, to receive the Floor Reward.”
“Ding, triggered a random task, Monster Hunter: Please kill the Tyrant, Reward: Strength Attribute +2.”
Soon, the elevator’s announcement came.
[Ding Dong! Elevator descending, please hold on tight.]
Moments later, the elevator stopped smoothly. After equipping his Chain Mail and HK assault rifle, Lin Feng pressed the door open button.
Upon stepping out of the elevator, a stench of blood mixed with feces hit him.
Lin Feng took a quick look around with his flashlight, it seemed like they were in a sewer. No wonder it smelled so bad.
Even the Little Velociraptor looked disgusted, covering its nose with one of its claws.
“You wait for me by the elevator.”
Lin Feng rubbed the head of the Little Velociraptor. The Tyrant they were about to face should be quite formidable, and even with the Little Velociraptor’s help, it might not be of much use.
“Roar!”
The Little Velociraptor twisted its head, decisively refusing, and continued to explore ahead with Lin Feng.
Suddenly, a white light appeared in the dark tunnel ahead. It was particularly dazzling in the dark sewer. The owner of the white light seemed to have noticed Lin Feng, flickering as if signaling for a response.
Naturally, Lin Feng also flickered his flashlight a few times.
Soon, the other party also flickered a few times.
Then they charged towards Lin Feng, getting closer and closer…
Because he couldn’t tell what the other party was, Lin Feng cautiously readied his gun.
It would be quite awkward if the thing that ran over turned out to be a glowing monster and he wasn’t prepared for it.
“Hello! Is there anyone there!!”
Just then, a shout came from the direction of the white light.
“A human?”
Lin Feng was puzzled, gripping his gun even tighter.
Whether it was a native of this world or another survivor from the elevator, Lin Feng could not let his guard down.
Sometimes, the most dangerous ones are often your own kind.
“Are you a human?” Lin Feng asked back.
“I am a human! I am a human! What the hell is this place?! Oh!!”
Judging by this reaction, it should undoubtedly be another survivor from the elevator.
But, the other party wouldn’t have mistaken him for a native, would they?
“Raise your hands immediately, let me confirm you are not a threat.”
Upon seeing the shouting man, Lin Feng immediately shone his flashlight on his face.
“I, I will raise my hands, I surrender! Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!”
The man, seeing the long gun in Lin Feng’s hands, hurriedly threw his crossbow and dagger to the ground, pleading for his life while doing so.
After confirming that he was no threat, Lin Feng lowered the barrel of his gun.
“Why are you here?”
“I…I…I don’t know…I lost my memory. When I woke up, I found myself here.”
The man fabricated a convenient tale of memory loss, having no idea about the world he found himself in.
Lin Feng nodded, seemingly accepting the man’s flimsy explanation. Yet, he pondered his own plans.
The man had just run from a certain direction without being devoured by a Tyrant, suggesting there were no Tyrants in that direction.
Thus, the Tyrant must be in the opposite direction.
Using this man as bait to lure the Tyrant seemed like the perfect plan.
Given his timid demeanor, a little intimidation with a gun should ensure his compliance.
“Alright, let me escort you. You go ahead, I’ll protect you from behind,” Lin Feng proposed, walking forward to pull the man up, gesturing for him to move forward.
“Ahead…you want me to go ahead?”
“Yes, I’ll be behind you, protecting you, so there’s nothing to fear. We can’t stay here for long.”
Lin Feng waved his gun a little, adding a threatening tone to his voice.
“Alright, alright,” the man agreed, bolstering his courage to proceed forward, genuinely afraid of being shot for disobedience.
Thankfully, he had a flashlight, which made the path ahead clearer and eased his anxiety.
With Lin Feng following a few meters behind, they walked for about ten minutes.
“Move faster, the sewer is dangerous. We need to get out quickly!” Lin Feng said impatiently, comparing the man’s slow pace to that of an elderly woman.
At this rate, they’d waste all their time just getting out.
“Big…big brother, how much farther to the exit?”
“It’s not far, just speed up a little. I’m right behind you, ready to shoot if anything happens.”
“Then…then please aim carefully, big brother!”
The man pleaded, on the verge of a mental breakdown. Suddenly, he regretted coming this way.
Who would have thought he’d end up with a gun pointed at his forehead?
If he could do it all over again, he definitely wouldn’t have run this way!
After another ten minutes, the man suddenly saw a shadow flicker ahead, startling him.
“A ghost! A ghost!”
“Big brother, shoot! Didn’t you see it?!”
“What ghost? Where?”
Lin Feng instantly asked, taking a few steps back. He had a hunch that what the man had just seen was the Tyrant.
“It just flashed past. I don’t know where it is now!”
As the man spoke, he retreated.
Lin Feng used his Eagle Eye skill to scan the area, but found nothing.
“Big brother, why…why are you so far away from me?”
Looking back, the man saw Lin Feng standing at least ten meters away, clearly not intending to protect him.
“Enough talk, keep moving!”
Lin Feng dropped the pretense, aiming his red laser directly at the man’s head.
“Okay, okay, please…please don’t shoot!”
Swallowing hard, the man complied and continued to move forward into the darkness.
