Ever since Professor Ashburn joined us, my magical life has been truly fulfilling. 

His transformation magic, like my control magic, belongs to the category of unique special attribute magic. Studying control magic alongside someone who has dealt with transformation magic for many years has been immensely valuable, despite the slower progress.

However, there was one thing that bothered me. 

Let me be clear this time. Lately, I’ve only had interactions with my father and grandfather like Ashburn-sensei. It’s like I haven’t had any chance to be around the three slave girls since starting magical research with Ashburn-sensei.

 Additionally, the maids in the mansion have become more cautious, probably because they know I tend to pat them on the buttocks if they get too close, leaving no openings.

The twin sisters who were supposed to visit the mansion within a few days haven’t arrived yet. So, there was absolutely no female presence around me.

That’s why I decided to venture into the town with the three slave girls. I managed to convince my father to provide some funds for the trip, and I entrusted Ashburn-sensei with watching over the mansion during our absence.

However, it couldn’t hold living creatures, and I had to remember not to store perishable items like vegetables or fruits without replenishing the magic regularly.

On the other hand, Ashburn-sensei wanted to accompany us on our excursion, but I politely declined his offer. After all, this was a precious opportunity to interact with the beautiful three slave girls, and I wanted to have that experience without any interference.

But surprisingly, Ashburn-sensei  got quite upset about it.

 He seemed somewhat lonely, which I didn’t expect from someone like him. I had never noticed this side of him during our time researching control magic together.

 I hope it’s just a temporary mood and that he’ll be back to his usual self when I return.

I had been confined for so long, and I was getting tired of it. So now, with the three slave girls, we set out beyond the mansion into the town where the common people lived.

For this day, I had skipped breakfast.

 As we got off the carriage sent by the mansion, I realized that this was my first time visiting a place outside the mansion that I had read about in the Vanitas memory. 

The world of the story that I had only known through text was now a reality right before my eyes. It was quite an emotional moment.

“Alright, then… here.”

“What is that hand for?”

“It’s for holding hands while we walk around the town together. Like lovers do, you know, linked arm in arm.”

“Huh!?”

When I extended my hand to Christina, she moved back as if startled. Looks like she still doesn’t like me very much.

“W-Wait, so you mean we have to hold hands like lovers do?”

“Alright then, what about Hildegarde?”

“Hands? Holding!”

Hildegarde eagerly took my hand. Yes, she has grown quite accustomed to me. I guess our mutual understanding during our mock battles really helped.
