Looking Forward to Another World - Chapter 5 : First Dimension
Riegel’s pleasant surprise stemmed from this very point. Although he didn’t have a complete understanding of this alternate world, he was well-versed in its lore and plot. This knowledge would save him time and effort, allowing him to swiftly acquire what he desired in this new realm.
This world, filled with harmony among various races, was predominantly inhabited by humans and demi-humans. It was a fantasy world where humans weren’t the only dominant beings; dwarves, beastmen, pallums, elves, amazonesses, and even gods coexisted. The gods, seeking amusement, had descended from their heavenly abode, sealing their divine powers to live among mortals. They granted humans ‘Falna’, a blessing that enables people to join their Familia, grow in strength, and help the gods establish their presence on earth.
“I remember, once you receive Falna, you can grow stronger in a way similar to games, by defeating monsters and enemies to gain experience points,” Riegel thought. This was the perfect opportunity for him, who lacked the time for slow, gradual training. By joining a Familia and receiving Falna, he would have a fast track to increasing his strength.
The first-dimensional travel world seemed tailor-made for him. The thought of it brought a slight surge of excitement to Riegel. With a time scale of 1:100, a day in this world equated to a hundred days in another. Thus, he could spend nearly three and a half months in this new world, potentially finding a way out of his current predicament.
With resolve, Riegel projected his consciousness through the dimensional channel toward this other world. To an outsider, he would appear to be merely sleeping, unaware that his consciousness was embarking on a journey to another realm.
Time seemed to lose its meaning as Riegel’s consciousness traveled through the dimensional channel. He felt like a ghost floating through an endless tunnel of light, unsure of how long he had been drifting.
Finally, his senses were greeted with the weight of reality, and the sounds of a bustling environment filled his ears. Riegel’s eyes opened to a street teeming with otherworldly charm. It was a fantasy world come to life, far from any modern scene he remembered. He saw robust dwarves in armor, beastmen conversing with human women, elegant elves, playful pallums, and various other fantastical beings and medieval-styled buildings. The street was alive with a cacophony of sights and sounds, a vivid tapestry of a fantasy world.
Despite his recent arrival and materialization, Riegel’s presence drew no undue attention. Humans and demi-humans passed him by naturally as if he had always been there. His attire, reminiscent of his original world, a sword and magic realm, didn’t seem out of place here, blending seamlessly with his surroundings.
Riegel smiled, absorbing the fantastical scenery around him, ready to explore this new world and seek the power he needed.
