Sent to Another World! - Chapter 25
I summoned a transport helicopter and flew towards the capital city of Ditrust.
“This is amazing, I didn’t know such a thing existed…”
Dean couldn’t stop expressing his astonishment.
And he started to wonder just how much Yoshinobu was keeping hidden.
Perhaps, in a way, Louise’s attempt to force an engagement might have been the right move after all.
After about a four-hour journey through the skies…
“We’re almost there. We’ll land on the empty area near the town.”
Yoshinobu then landed the helicopter in a place where the town was visible.
Once Dean and the others disembarked, Yoshinobu summoned an HMV, a high-mobility vehicle.
“With this vehicle, let’s head to the capital now. Please get in.”
As Dean and the others got in, the car started moving.
“There is no horse, yet it is running….”
As Dean was left in awe, Louis turned to Yoshinobu and asked.
“Yoshinobu, what else can you summon?”
In response to the girl’s casual question, Yoshinobu answered, “There are many… I haven’t tried summoning it, but I can summon a ship too.”
“There’s a ship too? Please let me ride next time!”
“Sure, but I can’t guarantee how comfortable the ride will be.”
Dean was left speechless by their conversation.
There is a ship too?
Given the events so far, it was safe to say that these wouldn’t be ordinary ships.
“Mister Yoshinobu, can I also ride on it?”
“You want to get on it too, Mister Dean? Sure, why not.”
With Dean’s enthusiastic response, Yoshinobu considered bringing Dean on board.
Because there was Dean inside the vehicle, the car could proceed to the interior of the castle without any hindrance.
Perhaps due to the unfamiliar thing, King Carm, Dean’s father, had appeared.
“To think father would come all the way out to a place like this.”
“Dear father, we are back.”
“Oh, Dean and Louise, you’re back early. I heard you were stuck due to an out-of-season storm? So, what is that thing?”
“Father, we flew through the air to get back.”
“Louise? What do you mean by ‘flew through the air’?”
“Yoshinobu, can you show it?”
“Right now? In that case, I’ll summon a smaller one.”
I summoned a utility helicopter.
“This is!!”
“Well then, Dear Father, please get in.”
As instructed by Louise, Carm boarded the helicopter.
“Well, we’re taking off. Everyone nearby, please step back.”
As the helicopter took off, Carm’s eyes gleamed.
“Oh, we’re flying. Is that our city down there, Ditrust? Oh, this is marvelous!”
Carm’s eyes sparkled as he leaned against the window.
Overwhelmed with joy, I circled around the capital in a big circle and landed back in the original courtyard.
When we reached the ground, soldiers had gathered there.
“Return His Majesty!”
The soldiers spoke in unison.
“Hold on, this person has done nothing wrong. More importantly, it was fun. I gave my gratitude.”
Carm stopped the soldiers and thanked me.
“No, it was Louise’s request. Also, I apologize for not informing the soldiers beforehand.”
“No need to worry, there’s no problem. After all, I was given such an experience.”
Carm still had the feeling of floating somewhere.
“Yet another different thing…”
Amidst this, Dean was the only one frozen in place.
Translator Note:
HMV, a High Mobility Vehicle or 高機動車(こうきどうしゃ)in Japanese is a high-mobility vehicle used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force for personnel transport.
It is a 4-wheel drive multipurpose truck developed by Toyota based on the US Humvee. It has nicknames such as “Hayate” or “Koki”.
Toyota then decided to sell SUV based on these HMV. It was called Toyota Mega Cruiser.
I wanted to put this on Chapter 15, HMV also appeared there. But I fogot about it and posted the chapter without the note. So, the HMV appeared again in this chapter, and this is the perfect chance to post the note…
