In the cooking classroom.
“Report! I’ve done it a hundred times!” Baron Bacher shouted energetically.
“Very good, now tell me everything you know about this school,” Dekan spoke as he stood by the window, looking at the scenery outside.
He had been wandering around the cooking classroom, inspecting it thoroughly. He had discovered that outside the window was a bottomless abyss. The entire school seemed to be a small island suspended over purgatory.
It appeared there was no escape beyond the map.
“What would you like to know?” Baron Bacher asked, trembling slightly.
He was afraid of saying nonsense and pissing off Dekan.
Dekan thought for a moment and walked over to Cornelia, who was stepping on Baron Bacher. He took out the red ticket from Cornelia’s pocket and waved it in front of Baron Bacher’s eyes.
“What’s this?” Dekan asked.
“It’s a demon pass, a reward given to outstanding students by the teachers. With this pass, even if you encounter the principal in the hallway during class hours, you can hand it to him – you’ll be safe from one attack, and the principal won’t bother you for the next half hour,” Baron Bacher replied.
“Do you have one?”
“I have one.”
“Where is it?”
“In my coat’s pocket.”
“Alright, I understand.”
Dekan had no intention of releasing Baron Bacher right away to retrieve the pass. Although Baron Bacher was subdued by him, someone as deceitful as him should still not be trusted too much.
Dekan’s body was very fragile, and given a chance, Baron Bacher could kill him. Although Dekan was wearing the Crown of Pain, he still feared pain.
“Next, tell me the location of every facility in this school, and the characteristics of the other teachers,” Dekan said.
Baron Bacher hesitated for a moment and answered, “…I don’t know much about the others because the teachers at this school often change.”
It seemed that the mortality rate for teachers at this school was quite high.
“Who’s the strongest teacher in the school?” Dekan asked.
“Undoubtedly, it’s the principal, but the principal may not always be at the school. He only appears at random times, so there may be situations where teachers are forced to take risks and disobey the rules, getting away scot-free. The principal only hunts down rule-breaking teachers,” Baron Bacher explained.
Dekan nodded. This indicated that he could use the rules to retaliate against the teachers, but it might be difficult to use rules to force them to death.
In a life-or-death situation, they would definitely choose to fight to the death.
However, Dekan found it strange. If the principal was hunting teachers and didn’t threaten students, then he shouldn’t be the boss.
If the principal wasn’t the boss, are their other dangerous teachers?
“Besides the principal and the director, are there any particularly dangerous or overpowered staff members?”
Even though Mission 2 was completed, Dekan was still very concerned about the boss.
If he had a chance, he would attempt to clear the boss room.
The rewards for clearing the boss room in the Shadow World were related to the final evaluation he would receive, as well as the enemies he defeated, achievements, and loot he obtained in the Shadow World.
If he didn’t clear the boss room, the rewards would be worse, even if he completed the mission.
In other types of Shadow Worlds, Dekan wouldn’t be so eager for rewards, but this was a demon-themed Shadow World. If he managed to achieve an SSS rank and clear the boss room, there was a high probability of obtaining extremely valuable demon-related materials or items. These might be useful for restoring his Master.
It was only for his Master’s sake that Dekan would go all out.
Of course, his Master wouldn’t want him to risk his life.
If it was too dangerous, Dekan would still choose to give up on the boss room.
Baron Bacher thought for a moment and said, “I’ve heard of… Miss Olivia in the Demon Laboratory. She’s always conducting inhumane experiments, and there is even a rumor that she often disregards school rules. But so far, the principal hasn’t been able to catch her breaking any rules.”
Laboratory?
Inhumane experiments?
Wait a minute.
This Olivia demon is probably the same demon that tortured the humans mentioned in the quest!
I’m afraid the humans to be saved are also in her lab. Most likely, this was the boss room.
“Go on,” Dekan said.
“That’s it. The Demon Laboratory is far from the cooking classroom, and we hardly ever go there.”
“…Now tell me about the school map, classroom information, and any teacher information you know.”
…
Baron Bacher provided Dekan with information for nearly half an hour.
During this time, Dekan sat at a long table, recording and organizing the information provided by Baron Bacher. He roughly drew a map with various markings all over it.
“This is outrageous, having to interrogate a teacher to gain knowledge in a school. Ugh, so tired.” Dekan sighed, feeling weary.
After confirming that Baron Bacher had no more valuable information, Dekan put down his pen and leaned back in his chair, stretching.
Upon hearing Dekan’s sigh, Cornelia hesitated, wanting to say something.
Even in a demon academy, there would not be such a thing as students interrogating teachers to acquire knowledge.
Dekan looked at Cornelia and smiled faintly, “Cornelia, thank you for your hard work.”
Since capturing Baron Bacher, Cornelia had been suppressing him for nearly an hour.
“Easy peasy,” Cornelia replied. She didn’t feel tired as long. As long as she didn’t have to use her brain, she considered it as leisure.
“Finally, I need you to help him with his amnesia,” Dekan asked Cornelia.
“How do you induce amnesia to a demon?” Cornelia asked, puzzled.
She had never learned about mental or soul magic.
Dekan smiled but didn’t respond. With a terrified look from Baron Bacher, he summoned the ruined poet.
Cornelia furrowed her brows slightly, deep in thought. She blinked.
And a realisation dawned upon her.
She firmly gripped the hammer handle in both hands, and without hesitation, she struck Baron Bacher on the head.
“Boom!!”
The entire classroom resonated with a deafening noise as Baron Bacher’s head was smashed, embedded into the ground, causing cracks to spread on the floor like a spider’s web.
Instead of blowing Baron Bacher’s head off, the blow broke the hammer. The entire hammer handle was bent out of shape, and it reverted to an unusable card.
Cornelia put her foot on the side of Baron Bacher’s prone body and gently flipped him over. His eyes had rolled back, and he was completely unconscious.
“Is he still alive?” Dekan asked.
“Yes, he’s unconscious,” Cornelia replied, sensing Baron Bacher’s faint signs of life.
The body of this demon of at least the fifth tier was still very strong, and his endurance was also very strong. However, after enduring Cornelia’s full-force headshot and the 20x multiplied pain, even if he hadn’t lost his memory, he would at least have lost his mind.
“Alright, may the Buddha be merciful,” Dekan sighed as he raised one hand.
Baron Bacher was still useful, and they couldn’t let him die like this.
“What next?” Cornelia asked, ignoring Baron Bacher on the ground.
Dekan checked the time; approximately two hours and four minutes had passed since the start of the scenario. There were still twenty-six minutes until the next class bell rang.
“Let’s take a half-hour break, and you should eat something,” Dekan suggested.
They didn’t need to go out exploring right now, and they did need some rest. After all, even in a demon academy, it was essential to balance work and leisure.
